WE'RE CALLING FOR MENTORS!
AVI Pacific People is conducting a pilot for our new employee mentoring programme aimed at supporting new and existing employees across the Pacific and help to build capability and growth in our region.
WHY BE A MENTOR
Across the Pacific, many people step into roles where support, guidance, and professional networks can be limited. Under the guidance of a mentor, this programme is designed to:
- Strengthen capability and leadership by sharing real-world experience and practical advice.
- Support retention and wellbeing by helping employees feel connected and supported.
- Grow future leaders who can contribute positively to their workplaces and communities
- Build stronger professional networks across the Pacific—connecting people, industries, and opportunities.
- Create a structured way for experienced professionals to give back and uplift others, so the benefits ripple beyond the workplace.
We're looking for mentors who are willing to share their knowledge, encourage growth, and help shape a stronger Pacific workforce.
THE MENTOR'S ROLE
- Commit to a 6-week mentoring journey of 1-3 hours per week.
- Meet your mentee weekly (online or in-person).
- Offer guidance on career goals, leadership, confidence, and navigating work challenges.
- Share practical insights, networks, and encouragement.
- Contact may be face-to-face or online or hybrid.
