ROLE PURPOSE
Our Client NiuPay is partners with public sector organisations across the South Pacific to solve tough problems with high-impact digital solutions. The company positions itself around bespoke, cloud-native solutions, regional expertise, and improving how governments deliver services to citizens and businesses. We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) who will be responsible for driving net-new revenue through active prospecting, opportunity development, and closing new business. This role is focused on expanding the company's market presence and acquiring new customers across target industries, mainly National, Regional and Local Government, and large Private sector agencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.NEW BUSINESS AQUISITION & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Identify, prospect, and win new business opportunities.
- Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signature.
- Build trust with all stakeholders, sharing relevant benchmarks, success stories, and industry best practices.
- Develop proposals, sales pitches, and tailored solutions for prospects.
- Guide prospects through evaluation and buying journeys with clarity, removing friction and risk.
2. PIPELINE DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline generation targets.
- Use the CRM to accurately track sales activity, forecast revenue, and maintain prospect records.
3. MARKET ENGAGEMENT
- Conduct market research to identify new industries, segments, or customer groups.
- Attend networking events, industry forums, and customer meetings to increase brand presence.
- Maintain strong product knowledge to articulate value propositions clearly.
4. COLLABORATION & HAND-OVER
- Work closely with the Relationship Management team to transition new clients for onboarding.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to shape customer solutions.
5. REPORTING & ADMINSITRATION
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts.
- Maintain CRM accuracy and follow internal sales governance processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles.
- Demonstrated success in winning new business and meeting sales targets.
- Strong consultative selling and presentation skills.
- Experience selling in Fiji and other Eastern Pacific Island markets is a key requirement.

- Ability to work independently and manage priorities to deliver outcomes at speed, owning the full relationship with those organisations as they transition to being customers.
